Sosnowiec – in terms of population, it is the largest town in the Dąbrowa Basin, the third one in the Silesian Voivodeship (after Katowice and Częstochowa) and the fifteenth in Poland. It is also one of the centres of Upper Silesian polycentric agglomeration.
According the data of Statistics Poland (GUS), Sosnowiec is inhabited by about 205 thousand people. Undoubtedly, one of the greatest assets of the town is its excellent geographical location and the best transport network in Poland.
