From 21st till 23rd October 2008 Expo Silesia Exhibition Center in Sosnowiec, Poland, hosted the International Fair of Methods and Tools for the Virtualization of Technological Processes VIRTOTECHNOLOGY 2008.
It was the first specialist exhibition in Poland dedicated to the virtualization of technological processes with the emphasis on all aspects of Rapid Prototyping and professional engineering systems CAD, CAM, CAE, CIM. The exhibition was visited by almost 7000 visitors.
Products of 50 companies from 9 countries presented their offer during Virtotechnology fair. It was a chance to see Rapid Prototyping tools, 3D printers, laser scanners, 3D projectors and software for simulating technological processes: CAD, CAM, CAE as well as ERP, MRP and PLM systems.
We were strongly supported by the Polish Association for Promotion of IT Systems for Industry ProCAx. Our cooperation resulted in organizing a seminar: "Technology of Rapid Prototyping in the Product Life Cycle". The highlight of the Fair was a stereoscopic presentation of practical use of Virtual Reality applications, during which the participants could almost touch virtual 3D creations.
The next edition of WIRTOTECHNOLOGIA Trade Fair will be held in Expo Silesia in Sosnowiec from 18th till 20th November 2009.
